CrossFit is our main class and is taught in our main gym area at the box.. Our experienced coaches carefully programme each day’s class so that you can get the most out of your training.
Constantly varied, functional movements executed at high intensity. The CrossFit class focuses on the Workout of the Day (WOD) as posted on our performance tracking platform BoxMate. The WODs are scaled and modified to each athlete’s level and performed at the highest intensity that the individual can sustain with good form and proper technique.
Our CrossFit Lite programme is for beginners who would like to become fitter, lose body fat and tone up in a friendly and comfortable environment through fun and enjoyable sessions including beginner CrossFit workouts.
CrossFit Lite vs CrossFit
CrossFit Lite was developed and introduced for beginners that want to come and train hard and improve their fitness, health and well-being without taking part in some of the more advanced gymnastics and weight lifting elements of the full CrossFit class.
CrossFit Kids is a 30 minute class for ages 12-17. This class will introduce kids to some of the foundation movements of CrossFit in a fun environment. They will not only learn some of the movements like squats, presses, and burpees, they will also learn a little about nutrition and other things. In this class, they will use little to no weight. The weight they would use as they progress would be light medicine balls, light kettlebells or 2.5kg plates. This is only used when the child has shown that they can do the movement with safe and controlled technique.
This hour-long class introduces 'pre-teens' and 'teens' ages 13-17 to the correct foundation movements and will begin teaching some different lifts, starting with a PVC bar and moving up in weight slowly based on how well they perform the movement. We have several different levels of ability in the teens class and we will scale their workouts accordingly to help teach them the proper movement and also prevent injury.
Fundamentals - The emphasis of Foundations is on skill development and exposure to our basic movements. It is designed to prepare you to enter our ongoing group classes. We are going to be hammering technique-both to ensure your safety-and success at the next level.
